Cristian’s Full Circle Story

Cristian Minor’s career path to UPMC is not what most would call traditional. Born and raised in Mexico, Cristian was an attorney there for the Mexican government before relocating to Pittsburgh Pennsylvania where he began working at bilingual customer service representative for UPMC Health Plan. 9 years after that first move, Cristian has earned not one, but two law degrees through University of Pittsburgh – one of Pennslyvania’s most challenging law schools! This spring, Cristian came back to UPMC as a staff attorney in the Legal Department. Read his story.

Jennifer: Behind-the-Scenes Difference-Maker

Before coming to UPMC, Jennifer was a center manager for a home respiratory company. After 16 years in home respiratory, she felt it was time for a career change and decided to apply to an administrative coordinator position with UPMC Employee Transit. She’s been with UPMC for five years now, and spent the past nine months as a manager in materials management at Shadyside Hospital. As a working mom of three, Jennifer knows firsthand the opportunity and flexibility a career with UPMC can allow. Read her story.

Achieving & Passing on a Dream: Andia Berry

As a kid, Andia Berry and her twin sister, Andrea, grew up watching their mom work at UPMC Braddock as a lab technician. Years later, Andia and Andrea decided to go to nursing school together and then went on to work at UPMC Braddock and Magee-Women's Hospital of UPMC. Since then, Andrea and Andia have become full-time faculty members at UPMC Shadyside School of Nursing, passing on their love of nursing and building the next wave of nurses to cultivate creativity, responsibility, positivity, and patience as nurses.
